White House on lockdown after nearby shooting

WASHINGTON (WNCN) – The White House is on lockdown after reports of a gunfire nearby, according to CBS News.
A tweet from the city said the shooting happened at 17th and E Streets Northwest, about two blocks from the White House.
A victim shot near the White House is in critical condition, CBS reported.
The Washington Post reported that the shooting happened around 2 p.m.
CBS reported that President Barack Obama left the White House around 1 p.m. to play golf.
