Wayne County man facing meth, weapons of mass destruction charges
STANTONSBURG, N.C. (WNCN) – A Stantonsburg man is facing multiple charges including possession of methamphetamine and possession of a weapon of mass destruction, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
According to authorities, a unit with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office received information about a possible meth lab located at the home of Jarvis Christopher Chase at 888 Old Mill Road. Deputies responded to the home to do a welfare check and noticed a number of items used to manufacture meth.
A search warrant was issued and executed on Sunday, May 22.
Chase faces charges of possession of firearm by felon, possession of a weapon of mass destruction, six counts of possession of meth precursor, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chase is being held under an $80,000 secured bond.
