UNC Launches Fundraiser to Save Dog Therapy Program for Patients with Mental Illnesses

An innovative program at UNC using dogs to help those dealing with mental illness is at risk of being closed. Many of us know that a dog can help relieve stress at the end of a long day, but for some a dog can mean so much more. UNC PAWS is a dog therapy program used in the recovery portion of the UNC Center of Excellence in Community Mental Health.
