Son of Arkansas governor arrested For drugs at music festival
BALDWIN COUNTY, ARK. (WKRG) – The son of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson was arrested at the Hangout Music Festival on Saturday night.
Asa William Hutchinson III is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance following his arrest by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office at Hangout.
Sources tell News 5’s Debbie Williams that Hutchinson was found with “Molly” and ecstasy after sporting a suspicious appearance at the festival.
Hutchinson was wearing a sweatshirt around his waist — an odd choice considering it was over 80-degrees at Hangout — and was spotted by Baldwin County Sheriff Deputies. Hutchinson was asked to give up anything illegal and handed over a flask filled with liquor.
The deputies proceeded to pat down Hutchinson. In his “rear waistband” he was found with 2 capsules of “Molly” and 4 capsules of ecstasy.
Hutchinson spent about 8-and-a-half hours in the Baldwin County Jail on Saturday night. He was released on a $5,000 bond
