Section of Wade Avenue shut down after crash
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A section of Wade Avenue in Raleigh will be shut down for hours after a car slammed into a power pole Saturday morning, police said.
According to police, a car driving on Wade Avenue crashed into a power pole on the section of the road between Faircloth Street and Dogwood Lane just after 4 a.m.
The road has been shut down in both directions between Faircloth Street and Dogwood Lane since the crash occurred.
Police said it will be hours before the road is reopened as crews are working to get a pole set up and fix the lines that came down.
