No Safe Place

I read a fair amount of romantic suspense, and while I can’t say for certain this is the worst one I’ve read, it certainly wasn’t good. In fact, if this wasn’t one of my TBR books, I probably wouldn’t have finished it. The story is about a Chicago police detective who teams up with an ex-New Orleans cop to find out who killed her sister. The characters were unoriginal and more caricatures than anything else, and her description of New Orleans was full of stereotypes. The “romance” aspect wasn’t any more believable. I’m sorry I wasted my time with this one.
