NC toddler bitten by family dog, suffers ‘serious injuries’

ABERDEEN, N.C. (WNCN) – A 2-year-old child was attacked by a family dog in Aberdeen in Monday and the child was airlifted to the hospital with severe injuries.
The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said the dog was tethered and the child was playing outside. Authorities aren’t sure if the dog was still tethered when the attack occurred.
The child has “severe injuries” to his head and neck and went to First Health Hoke Campus to be flown to a hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
