NC pizza driver who hit, killed man now faces tougher charges
WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Charges have been upgraded for a woman accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian while she was delivering pizza earlier this month.
Police officials said Brittany Boddiford, 22, of Wilmington was charged Friday with involuntary manslaughter in connection to the death of 36-year-old Lacoltus Grady. Boddiford was originally charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle following the accident.

Boddiford, a Domino’s delivery driver, was returning to the store on Carolina Beach Road after making a delivery. She was driving a Mercury Mountaineer.
