Matt Harvey felt ‘tight’ and wasn’t quite set to pitch on short notice

First Noah Syndergaard got scratched. Then Matt Harvey got strafed. The Mets turned to Harvey on Thursday morning when Syndergaard was a late scratch with a tired arm and sore biceps. But it was Harvey who got worn out and chased in the fifth inning of a 7-5 loss to the Braves before 23,243 at Citi Field.
