Man shot in Raleigh veteran’s community

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) —  A man was shot in Raleigh at a veteran’s community on Sunday evening.
The incident happened just before 7 p.m. in the 300 block of Sunnybrook Road, according to Raleigh Police.
The area is in Hull’s Landing, which has a prominent sign saying it is a “community for veterans.”
“An adult male victim has been transported to WakeMed, and follow-up investigation is underway,” Raleigh Police said in a statement to the media.
Hull’s Landing was finished in the summer of 2013 and houses 10 formerly homeless veterans, according to CASA, which helped develop the initiative.
