Man dies after being shot ‘multiple times’ at Goldsboro store

GOLDSBORO, N.C (WNCN) — A young man has died two days after he was shot “multiple times” at a convenience store in Goldsboro, police say.
Versean Jenkins, 21, was shot around 12:15 a.m. Sunday while at Donel’s convenience store at 518 East Elm Street in Goldsboro, police said.
Jenkins was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Goldsboro Police said on Tuesday afternoon that Jenkins has since died.
Police are now conducting a homicide investigation.
