Investigation leads to meth bust in NC Walmart parking lot

LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – A joint investigation between the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and the Jacksonville Police Department’s Drug Unit led to the arrest of three men in the parking lot of the Walmart in Leland on Thursday night.

Through their investigation, agents obtained information that the suspects would be in the area, possibly with drugs.
According to Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office officials, the suspects were spotted in the Walmart parking lot and attempted to flee, hitting a Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office vehicle in the process. The suspects never made it out of the parking lot and were arrested.
According to warrants, the suspects had 181 grams of methamphetamine in their possession.
