Green Hope baseball eliminates Rose, 2-1

CARY, N.C. (WNCN) – Green Hope High School baseball defeated Greenville’s J.H. Rose 2-1 Friday, sending the Falcons to the Eastern Finals.
Rose’s Coleman Sawyer hit a RBI double to left to put the Rampants up 1-0 but Green Hope evened things up in the bottom of the second.
Green Hope’s Trevor Losito knocked a double up the left-field line. That sent Austen Jones home to knot it up.
In the fifth, Kohl Abrams hits a single to right that put the Falcons up for good.
“I keep saying I didn’t know how many we’d win this year. Four? Five Six? And then we came out and set a school record for wins with 23. We’re going to play at least 30 baseball games so it’s a lot of fun no one wants it to end,” said Green Hope head coach Mike Miragliuolo.
