Durham, NC – Durham County Library presents Meet the Author: Sadeqa Johnson on Saturday, April 29 at 3 p.m. at South Regional Library, 4505 S. Alston Ave, Durham, NC 27713. This program is free and open to the public.

Meet motivational speaker, author and blogger Sadeqa Johnson. She will discuss her third novel And Then There Was Me, set for release in April 2017. Her debut novel, Love in a Carry-On Bag, was hailed by Ebony.com as “this summer’s hottest read.” It was the recipient of the 2013 Phillis Wheatley Award for Best Fiction and the 2012 USA Best Book Award for African-American Fiction. Essence magazine praised her second novel, Second House from the Corner, by writing “Novelist Sadeqa Johnson should take a bow for her latest effort.” Books will be available for purchase.
