Duke baseball team makes first NCAA tourney in 55 years

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Monday was a nail-biting day for the Duke baseball team as they got their first bid for the NCAA tournament in 55 years.
The team gathered at the Tobacco Road Sports Café in Durham to watch the tournament selection show on ESPNU.
Their name didn’t pop up during the first part of the show, and after a commercial break, the team was relieved to see their match-up against UNC Wilmington.
They’ll play in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday at 1 p.m.
