2 dogs die, 2 rescued after NC owners charged with felony animal cruelty

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – According to the Greenville Police Department, the lives of two dogs were saved after Animal Protective Services responded to a report of malnourished dogs on Paris Avenue.

A 7-month-old black female pit bull puppy, a 1-year-old brindle pit bull and an 8-month brindle female pit bull puppy were surrendered by their owners and taken into care by Animal Protective Services.
All three pit bulls were suffering from neglect and worm infestation.
The 7-month-old black female pit bull puppy had to be euthanized due to her body being in poor condition.
Ismel Daniels and Yolana Parker, the owners of the dogs, were each charged with two counts of felony animal cruelty and two counts of misdemeanor of animal cruelty.
Daniels was already in the Pitt County Detention
